I need help with songs for my audition.?

I'm not in a hurry, auditions are in december. The musical is Shrek the musical and i want to be Donkey. I'm a bass, but i can sing higher a bit. My friend in choir says i can hit lower/ some medium tenor notes. So i just wanted know some good songs to sing for trying to get the part of Donkey.

I am an assistant director and I'm having trouble with two actors…?

I'm assistant director for Romeo and Juliet in Hawaii Theater. The cast is part of a year-long class, where their first assignment, before even knowing their parts in R&J, is two to three person scenes from various Shakespeare plays that are assigned by the director/teacher. One of the two person groups is very low on energy and enthusiasm. I confronted them non-hostiley about their attitudes and I received only defensive and evasive answers. I'm not sure how to help them with their scene, because they themselves don't seem very motivated to do it. I've tried to encourage them to empathize with their characters, but they don't seem willing. Does anyone have any similar experience or suggestions? I feel like anything I try to do will come off as me attacking them. I think the only thing to do is to figure out the cause of this problem (are they bitter about the parts they got? are they jealous of other scenes? do they not like each other? are they judgmental of each other? are they judgmental of their scene? do they think they're better than everyone else? are they too much like their characters and therefore cannot empathize with them because they have low self-esteem?) and address it, but I can't seem to figure out what the problem is! Please help, even if you just have suggestions! My first priority is to get them invested in their scene, even if that means the real issue is not addressed until later.
