| Posted: 22 Sep 2016 07:01 AM PDT The concept you could explore is that in any revolution the aftermath is very difficult as new systems have to be developed to replace all that was lost, and it takes a long time and much work. And that many lives will be lost in the process. That's a universal truth with any huge change. So you could argue that tho the revolution gave the colonists the freedom to control their own lives, a lot of life, law, order and trade was sacrificed for this. As you say, I think it was definitely a necessary thing with very long lasting positive results, the above is just a suggestion for the other side. |
