The hardest part of transitioning to bass is realizing it is a different instrument. Technically you won't have any trouble as, obviously, you are playing the same notes, using the same basic approach, etc. But, you need to learn how to fit in with the other instruments, especially the Kick drum and the rythm guitar if the band has one. Still, you should be able to pick it up relatively easily. I had a rough couple months when I switched from guitar to bass, but after a while it became second nature. I would bet most of the bass players on this forum started off playing guitar first.

I have played Fender Strats for 40 yrs, but I've never met a Fender Amp that I like for the music I like to play.<br/>If you have EMG's that will just make it worse.<br/>One thing you might try is to increase gain and lower the volume.<br/>I'm looking at the manual as I type this.<br/>another thing may be that you think that the 1 and 2 inputs go to the two setting sections..<br/>INPUT - Plug your guitar in here.
