| Posted: 28 Sep 2016 12:10 PM PDT The Statue of Liberty faces Southeast and was strategically placed inside of Fort Wood which was a perfect base for the Statue. The Statue's position was also perfect for ships, entering the harbor, to see her as a welcoming symbol. If you look on a map, she is facing Angola, and has her back to New Jersey, perhaps because of the smell of the 'Garden State'.... |

| Question: How much would you pay for a photographer's work in these situations? Posted: 28 Sep 2016 10:15 AM PDT If photographer 2 has that much experience, he is asking too little if they want to stay in business. The flww with your scenario, is that photographers do NOT charge per hour, nor do they sell photos at a fixed price. A photographer charges for each session at from $350 to $500 for 4 hours. This only includes taking the photos. If any retouching is necessary, the retoucher bills separately. If prints are sold, they are sold based upon the size of the print, the material (paper, Aluminium, canvas, etc) The actual fee for the sessions are based upon their cost of doing business. The cost for retouching is based upon what the retouch artist charges and the cost of prints is the photographers actual profit. For the assignments I would need to hire a contract photographer, I would pick them based upon their portfolio, experience and if they have the right tools for the job. When it comes to picking a photographer, I would pick the one which is the easiest to work with on a daily basis, understands style our studio produces and has both the experience and skills to get the job done, to our standards and on time Here is how a photographer can determine their costs of doing business (before any profit) |
