| Question: Is there a burger meal during Victorian era? Posted: 03 Oct 2014 07:12 AM PDT Yes and no. The "Hamburg Steak" was introduced into the USA in the mid-nineteenth century. It is heard of in Germany as early as the 1740's. However, this refers the pattie itself. The idea of putting a pattie in a bun to create what we now think of as a hamburger is said to date from 1916. |
