ballet. It should make no difference if you pass or not.<br/>Regarding dance wear... if you are still anotimically male you will need to wear a dancebelt under your tights along with men's tights for protection and fit. You can wear your leotard over the tights like the other women (not under like a male dancer traditionally does.)<p>Edit: I looked at your questions and see you are 28. You would have to look to take an adult beginner ballet class. You stand a far better chance of being accepted to take that type of class. Most likely this would not be a problem at all unless you live in a place that is very bigoted. . All adult classes are mixed sexes and only in serious ballet training for younger students do they separate the sexes in class due mostly to the type of training required. Most likely there would be no men in the majority of adult ballet classes but occasionally one or even two in a class. No one is excluded due to sexual orientation or identification. Not until recently however, did I realize that it s my passion, after I stopped tirelessly chasing things that I wasn t passionate about(soccer, etc.) I like to teach myself choreos, from other dance groups/crews or from kpop music videos and such, and I take a weekly hip hop class. I like all kinds of hip hop I guess, more feminine to masculine, but I really would like to pursue breaking or bboying. Those are the types of moves I m learning in my class, but I wasn t inspired until I went to a local tournament(?) where I watched bboys/girls, poppers, etc, battle, and have cyphers just hyping each other up, which was really cool. I do think I ve become a decent dancer, and have pretty good rhythm, but I think I lack the confidence and swag to be able to break dance. I also feel like a gross poser because well, hip hop especially breaking, is all about expression, and having your own style, and I feel fake if I m learning in a class or from YouTube. I wish I could immerse myself in the culture, or at least make friends that are already dancers, but there s no one around me that I know who is into it. I want to go to the studio that the dancers I saw at the competition go to, which would for sure help me a lot be a better and more of an authentic dancer I m sure, but I want to be decent before I do. This is really important to me, I want to pursue dance with everything I have and work really hard.
