Question: Discussion about going to school and meaning of life in general basically? Posted: 10 Aug 2016 09:53 AM PDT Okay. Eight hundred years ago the Emperor Charlemagne couldn't see why he should be bothered to learn to read. Three hundred years ago only the wealthy were taught anything but a trade (like leather work or carpentry or road construction.) It was thought that with a minimal education workers in a factory could be switched from one machine to another LIKE PARTS. Other thinkers determined that a liberal arts education (See Newman's The Idea of A University) would make people good citizens and educated enough to VOTE for a functional government. Education has swung wildly between minimalist "cashier ready" education and the idea of creating future citizen who could keep fascism and communism out of government. Grades 1-12 are cashier building with a smattering of liberal arts for those who may move beyond it. Community college is advanced tool manufacture, training folks enough to be middle management or the smart cashier that disburses the money. continued below..
Question: Why do we go to school? Posted: 10 Aug 2016 09:09 AM PDT The brain is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. School is supposed to strengthen reasoning & mathematical skills, social skills, and expose you to various cultural things (art, history, literature, etc.).. The purpose was never to prepare students for employment. Learning a trade or skill comes after receiving an education. It's also a rite of passage. Having a diploma shows that you stuck something out to completion and did not quit. That is the biggest difference between someone with a diploma, and someone without. Not that the persion with is smarter, but the person with did not give up.
Question: What is the symbolism for rainbows? Posted: 10 Aug 2016 03:15 AM PDT THE BIBLICAL STATEMENT of the symbolism is as stated by Moses as to the "conclusion of the system of things" (Mattew 24:3 / 2 Tim.3:1-5 ) (Genesis 9:13-16) "13 I put my rainbow in the cloud, and it will serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring a cloud over the earth, then the rainbow will certainly appear in the cloud. 15 And I will certainly remember my covenant that I made between me and you and every living creature of every kind; and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the rainbow will occur in the cloud, and I will certainly see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind on the earth" . Cross reference of the rainbow covenant by the historian Isaiah shows such a masterpiece of beauty that Jehovah God created is as stated: (Isaiah 54:9, 10) " 9 "This is like the days of Noah to me. Just as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more cover the earth, So I swear that I will no more become indignant toward you or rebuke you. 10 For the mountains may be removed And the hills may be shaken, But my loyal love will not be removed from you, Nor will my covenant of peace be shaken," says Jehovah, the One having mercy on you." This promise shows that the true God does not & will not use an earth-wide flood to devastate wicked man, nor animals & the earth!

Question: Do you believe every action and thought has a consequence? Posted: 10 Aug 2016 12:39 AM PDT No, I do not believe that. Everything can exist on its own and *as* an action.
Question: How reliable is the Law Of Attraction? Posted: 09 Aug 2016 11:14 PM PDT We seem to draw to ourselves what are are, what we think, what we believe. I also think we don't always know, and we can THINK we want a certain thing, Now, this law works for some people, and I don't know why it does for I go by a scripture 'do good in the land, so shalt thou dwell in the land' But for things....I think there could be a lot of conflict around that, So I don't bother much with 'things'....but I seem to attract some good Good to become a magnet for goodness.
