Hello,

Looking for some help finding the right major for me.

I am interested in several areas of design. Mainly fashion design, visual merchandising, interior design, floral design, and magazine design. I was hoping to find a program that would provide a wide range of knowledge in different areas of design and the industry.

Most of the programs I have found are specialized into one area of design.

Any suggestions?

in the USA. That's why it's not a big deal to you to adapt to another western country's culture.<p>If the other people in your group have not been exposed to a western culture before, then yes, suddenly being in Germany (with all that entails) could well be a culture shock for them.</p><p>Another possibility is, again assuming they haven't been exposed to western culture, is the food. You probably had your share of 'heavy' food while you were in the States. Burgers, fried foods, i.e., lots of high fat, high salt food. I've never been to Singapore, but the consensus on the internet seems to be that the typical diet there is noodles, rice, seafood, chicken, etc. That's rather different than the potatoes, sausages, bread and beer you find in Germany.
