First, consider that a $900 Strat is just at the upper end of mid-range. It's a very nice guitar, and there's no reason that you have to be a pro before you deserve a well made instrument.<p>My advice to ALL players is to buy the best instrument they can afford. In over 50 yrs of playing, I've never heard anybody lament that they bought too nice of a guitar...but plenty of regrets that they didn't buy something nicer when they had the money. If you care for this guitar, it will last your lifetime.
