All except which of these were reasons for the Mexican Revolution in 1910?

A. Porfirio Diaz sold the country's resources and land and kept the money for himself.

B. The country was controlled by the Samoza family who ran the country to create wealth for themselves.

C. Americans and other foreigners owned around 68 percent of the land in Mexico.

D. There was a need for social and economic reform to help the poor people of the country.

I was talking to an English war veteran and he told me that by 1944 right before the D Day it was already clear that the Russians would defeat the Germans , the Soviets had destroyed most of their experienced soldiers in large battles such as Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk etc. millions of Germans had fallen and only young inexperienced recently recruited boys were thrown at the Western allies at Normandy..

I couldn't help but to ask why did the Americans even bother to sacrifice it's men if it was already clear that Nazis would lose the way anyway .. He responded that it was to prevent the Russians from conquering all of Germany and then even France and all of Europe.. The Americans did not want the "Asiatic Russians" dominating Europe..

Is there any truth to what he says ?
