| Question: Photography portraits? Posted: 02 Aug 2016 11:20 AM PDT I have even used old paint splattered painters drop cloths as a backdrop. Often the goal is to use mid- long focal lengths so to have a shallow depth of field - selective focus - to throw the background out of focus. If you have a full frame DSLR the 50mm is not long enough. If it is like a DX or crop sensor csmera, the 50 might work. Maybe a bit longer would help, |
| Question: How to do the yellow/red light flare effect on video? Posted: 02 Aug 2016 08:35 AM PDT That is an effect done in post. A simulated fogging of film is added to the video. at the cut. What tool you would use to do that is unknown to me. Maybe someone here does know, but my guess is that you can find a tutorial on how to add image light fog to video. Flare is a whole different animal. --- See th link below Flare is caused when the light source (the sun) is deliberately allowed to enter directly into the lens. The flare is a result of that strong light bouncing off the many air to glass surfaces of the lens |
