| Question: Black Indian Ancestor? Ancestry? Posted: 07 Aug 2016 11:27 AM PDT Possible? anything is possible. It just isn't probable. The average African-American genome is 24% European, and 0.8% Native American. "It is rare to find a black American with 100 percent African Ancestry"- Henry Gates. The probable explanation for this is he was part white, a product of slave rape or a black mistress, by at least one of your ancestors and likely a lot more. Unless your ancestor is from Oklahoma, in which case the odds shift quite a bit, as many of the "civilized" tribes owned slaves. |
