| Question: What art supplies or techinques to start off on? Posted: 22 Aug 2014 10:58 AM PDT You may want to start off with pencils- they are some of the best tools you can buy for drawing-- especially for beginners. You can find them at any craft store. There are different kinds of 'lead'- thickness and a range of 'harness' Those pencils that have an "H" on them are lighter. Those with a "B" are darker. I also suggest a kneaded rubber eraser- it's like Silly Putty. It will take away smudges and help with erasing. You will also need a good eraser- the pink erasers are good as is a gum eraser. Be sure to buy a good pencil sharpener and a sketch pad. If you can afford it get a kit. I am including a link to a nice kit that you can buy at Michael's. If you're serious about learning to draw and draw well, these are good tools to start with. If you live near a college or university or a place that offers continuing education (like a community center), check into their drawing classes. Many will take beginners and the teachers will show you the right way to do things... Good Luck. I love to draw. I wish I had more time to devote to it. |

| Question: When someone says on the internet they hate something, do they really hate it? Posted: 21 Aug 2014 08:08 PM PDT I personally tend to think that they actually do hate things. 'Hate' is an ego-mind thought-pattern ... and it's also a very big trap. Once the "I hate this" neural pathway gets started, it can grow into a person's main thought-pattern. An example of how it progresses : ~ I hate school Hence, I don't think it is most often used to make others mad. ~~~~~~~~~~ "Misery loves company." |
