Question: How to end free verse poem?

Posted: 25 Aug 2014 04:33 PM PDT

Here's my poem i dont know how to end it.

i am from
acoustic guitars
and rock and roll

i am from
irish and italian
both delicious food styles

i am from
large gatherings
and big brown eyes

i am from
nothing is free
and dont cry over spilt milk

*Excuse all the punctuation errors im kinda in a hurry so yea. And the stanza has to start with "I am from"*

Question: Can someone pls tell what Capitalist Poem #5 (Campbell McGarth) is all about? How can we interpret this & what does the last stanza imply?

Read the poem. Now tell me who you think the speaker of the poem is. Is he a millionaire? Is he a celebrity movie star? Or who? What's his life like? What's he telling us about people like himself all over America -- what are their lives like, and what are they doing about the things they don't like about their lives?

Question: What do you think of my poem?

I'm a 13 year old girl from the Netherlands, and I love writing music. I think the most important thing about music is the lyrics, so I practice ideas from poems I write. Now, I want to know if you like it. Just be honest! :]

Reunite

You need more history to write
Stuck your nose up in the clouds
Wondered how far the stars could be
Like you could sail the skies with me

You count the leaves falling on the ground
There are few that made a sound
But your young spirit counts with me
And only together your eyes could see

The diamonds when the dawn arrives
The silence when the birds are shy
The northern lights occur this night, when you and I, we reunite
The birds in the red evening sky
The dandelions' leonine
The northern lights occur this night, when you and I, we reunite

The shadows follow all our steps
But mistakes are found in all their debt
We trick and fool them with the sun
Who seems to be our loving mum

We count the raindrops
Few that came around
But your young spirit
Tend to lie
About the lies, we told the truth
With our closed eyes we saw and knew

The diamonds when the dawn arrives
The silence when the birds are shy
The northern lights occur this night, when you and I, we reunite
The birds in the red evening sky
The dandelions' leonine
The northern light occur this night when you and I, we reunite

Question: Thoughts on this poem?

Posted: 25 Aug 2014 11:29 AM PDT

you wear me
like an old T-shirt
when i should be
the black dress
(just a little too comfortable
and i'm starting to think
maybe you should go shopping)

I had to write a poem that was a metaphor for a relationship I had.
