Question: Acting and modeling?

Posted: 31 Aug 2014 10:11 PM PDT

Acting has absolutely nothing to do with modelling.
And if you want to get into acting, never mention modelling. Most acting professionals think models are just a joke.
All genuine auditions are found through agents. Open calls are either scams, for amateur stuff, or porn.

If you want to be an actor, get into a really good acting school and after a few years they'll explain how you can find an agent - if you have enough training and experience - and, of course, enough talent.

Question: Musical theater audition songs for a low alto voice (girl)?

Musical theater audition songs for a low alto voice (girl)?

I audition for a lot of musical theater productions in my hometown, and I like to maintain a repertoire of several songs that I can whip out when I get short notice for an audition (which happens quite a bit). My range goes from E3 to G5, and I would like to showcase my extensive range. Low alto notes are more in my comfort zone. I would prefer if the songs are from a broadway musical, but this is not a must. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer and God bless!!!

Question: What is the name of this stage play?

What is the name of this stage play?

When I was in high school I did a play about toys coming to life in an attic. It was a cast of three; a barbie, a teddy bear, and a G.I. Joe. I no longer have the script and it's really bothering me that I can't find it anywhere. I believe it was called Playthings but I can't find it under that title or any other title. My friend and I really bonded over that play and I'd like to find the script so I can give it to my friend as a birthday present. Please help.
