Arts & Humanities: Theater & Acting: “Question: Should I give up on being an actor?” plus 4 more

Question: Should I give up on being an actor?

You should first educate yourself with acting books and also join acting classes in Auditioning, Cold Reading Scene Study, Improv, or commercials (the more classes the better). Also, to get more experience, join local plays and to join drama class at your school. Maybe if you do do the things, you will start to get it. :)

Question: AM I IN OR NOT?

If you are not on the callback list it is likely that you do not have a big role in the play. You may still be included in the ensemble. There can be many reasons, no matter how much ability you have, for you not to get a callback or part. Why not ask the teacher/s who did the auditioning?

Question: How do I present a long speech in front of a guy who likes me and watches me extremely closely? I guess I like him too..?

Question: Antigone comic remix?

Posted: 28 Aug 2014 07:44 PM PDT

For English class I have to revise scene 3 of Antigone by Sophocles into a comedy instead of a tragedy. I am not a humorous person at all and I have no idea where to begin or end. Could someone who is a little bit humorous help me.

Thanks :)

Question: Anybody have some tips for memorizing my lines?

Anybody have some tips for memorizing my lines?

I'm doing my second musical - The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I'm playing the understudy to Susan and I need to memorize my lines, although I'm absolutely dreading it! Any tips for line memorization?
