Question: Whats a good acoustic guitar?

Posted: 15 Aug 2014 06:56 PM PDT

my 2nd acoustic was a seagull s6 which I was in love with until I could afford a martin. now I've sold all my martins and gone back to seagull (seagull maritime) for financial reasons. in my opinion they are the best mid-pro level acoustics for the price, especially a used all solid model or new old stock which mine was. go to a store play everything in your budget. what I like, you might not like. theres loads of other brands out there. a few I like are
breedlove
martins over £1000
eastman
blueridge. some are a bit too fancy looking for me but good tone to the few I tried.
yamaha, the vintage ones sound the best but you'll need to have more experience before scouting out these gems. id definitely look at the new ll16 series or ll6 if you're budget is smaller. ls16 and ls6 are smaller bodied.
Simon and Patrick, made by godin, same as seagull.

I'm the commander for a performing arts team in Air force JROTC. We do plays and skits that are funny and also serious life topics. What plays can we do and for what holidays? We mainly perform for only Elementary and middle school kids. Also nursing homes. I just need ideas for entertaining plays! Thanks!

Question: Is there a piccolo trill chart you could give me a link to (I want is specific to PICCOLO, not to piccolo and flute)?

www.wfg.woodwind.org. Or you could buy the Steve Tanzer book, and a few other volumes I will send along tomorrow - have to pull them off mys shelves, and it is late - just got home from a long concert.

Question: Can I play Rocksmith with an acoustic guitar and learn it?

Posted: 15 Aug 2014 05:52 PM PDT

you can use any guitar is it has a jack to plug into an amp and many acoustics are also electric . the difference is you will get a more clean sound using an acoustic guitar then an electric only and you'll probably use different strings which will give a different sound .
my advice is when you are first learning and playing rocksmith pick rhythm guitar instead of lead , this will teach you chords and strumming which you will need to know when playing lead . after you are good then start a new game and choose lead

either that or just use a website like this and learn that way
