| Question: What's a good "negative" for a little boy? Posted: 30 Aug 2014 02:21 PM PDT What's a good "negative" for a little boy? I'm making characters for various things and I'm working on my girl character who has a little brother of the age 4. I want her brother, Jack, to have a disorder of some sort, do you know any that would make sense? Nothing traumatic happened and I already have a character with DID... I know its horrible for a little boy to have a disorder but all my other characters are like totally normal. So, any suggestions? |
| Question: Would quality or brand matter in this instance? Posted: 30 Aug 2014 02:08 PM PDT Would quality or brand matter in this instance? I am going to attempt to learn either the guitar, mandolin, or ukulele, I haven't decided yet. Whatever instrument I pick I will have to purchase. If the instrument is primarily going to be used for learning and not performing, would it really matter if I got a 50-100 dollar version of the instrument as opposed to a 200+ dollar version of the instrument? Im not saying I can't afford a better brand, but I would like something cheap that I can practice and learn on without the putting to much into it. Would the low quality affect my learning the chords, fretboard, etc? |
| Question: ISO Thank You Cards? Posted: 30 Aug 2014 12:16 PM PDT
I am looking to design and order blank 'thank you' cards for a club I belong to at school. I need simple, blank, white cards, that I can order in bulk. Does anybody have any suggestions for places or websites to order from? Snapfish and Shutterfly had designs that were too complicated and they were kind of expensive. Thank you. |
| Question: Anyone can write a CREEPY *** POEM FOR ME? (Check details!!)? Posted: 30 Aug 2014 04:45 AM PDT Eyes bright as gems, smooth and cool, Melted away into liquidy pools. A beautiful, perfect face, as clear as stone, Ripped apart and scorched into flesh and bone. A pearly white smile, a shining grin, Eternally sealed shut by moulded skin. The flick of a lighter shall spark a soul, The devil shall rise with every fall. This is the end of an unsuccessful life, The story of a husband and his unsuspecting wife. Poem 2- |
| Question: Are we moving towards a world where there's no balance between art and science? Posted: 30 Aug 2014 02:17 AM PDT There seems to be this popular consensus that STEM is everything, STEM is the future, it's more 'practical' to study, it's profitable, etc etc. And then there is art, music, literature, philosophy, and the social sciences which are in many people's views frivolous, superfluous, a luxury, impractical to study, not as profitable... etc etc. As an artist who also considers himself scientifically literate, this troubles me. I feel as though our obsession with our smartphones and so on is upsetting the balance between that which is technical and the more right brained disciplines. And I don't think it's good. We're teaching future generations to basically be bee like techies without the nuance that comes with being a little 'impractical' or 'fantasy prone' every now and then. What kind of world will we evolve into if this continues? What will this mean for the artist? |
| Question: Antique thor agitator? Posted: 29 Aug 2014 09:55 PM PDT If it is working, it could be worth as much as $300. If it's not working, it would be worth around $25. It is not that rare and it is not in very good shape. You can look on eBay under "antique washer" and that will show some similar items. The Brand "Thor" is not really that important. That is just a company that is now out of business. The value is what someone would pay for it. I would suggest you take a better picture of it and then put it up for sale on eBay. Describe what condition it is in and say whether it is working or not. If you get $100 for it, I think you would have made a good deal. Make sure you know how much it would cost to ship it. You might look at similar items on eBay to determine the cost of shipping it. |
