I'm in marching band, and every year we have to give our seniors a goodbye present. My section has NO idea what to do. We need ideas. For example, last year we got build a bears that looked like them and played Crazy Train, our section song. Any idea would be greatly appreciated. We all get personalized sweatshirts and shirts every year, so those are off the table. We have three seniors this year, two alto saxes and one tenor sax. As another guitar player, unless it's one of my guitar idols, I'm usually bored after watching other people play for awhile, especially if it's someone I see play all the time. I wouldn't blame you if you really were bored.

What Happened to my Embouchure?

So, earlier this summer, I joined my high school marching band, and I was doing all day rehearsals and practices. I have braces on, so I could never at very high in the first place, and, I also had to make a change to my embouchure because it was majorly wrong. Then, for around three weeks, I was playing well, and rebuilding my lost range. Then, a week ago, my lips started swelling to almost one and a half times regular size, and I couldn't even play a high e in the staff or anything above. Now, whenever I play, my lips start swelling like crazy, and I can't play. Is it my braces, embouchure, mouthpiece positioning, or what? I'm getting pretty pissed because I was the second best trumpeter in middle school, and now, I'm one of the worst players in the entire school.
