Intro paragraph?! PLEASE HELP!!?

I need help with the introductory paragraph for "my lifetime goals, discuss how your current and future academic and extracurricular activities might help you achieve your goals." I plan to major in photography and I've taken art/sculpture for the last three years and I wanted to say how softball has taught me how to work with others and perseverance and things like that. my beloved grandmother is getting very sick very fast & on my 16th birthday she wants to buy me a piece of jewelry to remember her. (Not that I would ever forget her) I want to sketch out a pretty ring with both of our birthstones on it but I can't think of a nice symbol to put on the ring. The infinity sign meaning is actually great but it's so overworn that the ring wouldn't be as special as I'd like it to be. I want something that'll bind us together perfectly and beautifully. crocheting a blanket for my mom for Christmas?

King size image not to scale very rough design
Pink (plain not hot) a lot more blanket than flowers
I want to put crocheted flowers on it.
Red lines row of big flowers
Blue lines row of medium flowers
Black lines row of small flowers
Take out the over laps
I do not know what colors go with pink.
I was thinking about getting some multi colored yarn with pink in it for the big ones then using the other colors for the other flowers but i don't know. So what are some colors that go with pink?
Maybe pastels? Any darker colors?
