at the start of the war he was the American commander of all US forces in the Far East. He managed after fighting a holding action to drive the North Koreans back, and when China then intervened on NK's side he demanded to be allowed to use nukes. President Truman then fired him.

The origin of the homophobic slur f--got is actually unclear but was first used in 1914. It was originally used as a slur against women so perhaps using it to refer to gay men is where the offense comes into play.

Would South Vietnam fall if President 'Ngo Dinh Diem' had lived ?

I am wondering that would South Vietnam fall to Communist if President 'Ngo Dinh Diem' had lived ?
Diem seems not to want to invite the intervention of US. If so, would South Vietnam live on til today ?
