Question: How do I write a lyric poem?

How do I write a lyric poem?

I am in a 10th grade English course right now, and we have to write a lyric poem. I know it has to be about emotion, and we have a guideline sheet, but I don't know what to write about. I'm not much of an emotional person myself, and all I can think about writing is sports, but I would rather write about something else. Thanks!

Don't try to swim with the big fish , big fish are selfish they never swim up or down they just go round and round in there own little sad circle. The sea is deep with a very nasty undercurrent that will take you 'Downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn '

Good poem I like a poem that makes me think lol :)

Question: How do memories enrich us poetically?

For me it's difficult to relate to a poem when you don't know who
the author is. Maybe not others, that's just me. I like the pic,
and is Evidence that Demands a Verdict: God is our Creator.

The poem was very average, and could be made better with a
little effort editing and working on better sentences. Second
to last line, who or what is "it?" The poem is vague on why
life causes you misery? Lost love? Poem, does it have a
title. Good effort sire.

Question: There's a competition at College for the best poem, you can submit 2 per person, tell me what you think of mine please?

The first theme is about holding your ground, and the second is that we are individuals and not the same. I think they're too simple to get an award. Try to make them reveal something in yourself or others, society, that no one knows, cause everybody knows the themes of your poems.

Also "goes" isn't a noun, so it looks like a forced rhyme that isn't very good, cause it doesn't make sense. Try to use common grammar.
"the guy's still fighting all his rows"

Question: Hey - is there somebody who could help me to analyse the following poem from Sumerian Vistas by A.R. Ammons?

Hey - is there somebody who could help me to analyse the following poem from Sumerian Vistas by A.R. Ammons?

if nature could speak
would it have something
to say right where it says nothing:
that is, be like me, reticent,
patient, waiting and slowly the
progressions will find progressive gears
(even now backsteppings are being wound
forward) and the wind seek key other
than the eaves-key: nature would say,
be still, that is to say, indifferent
like me, only to say so would
motion difference:
probably this is why nature says nothing
it has nothing to say
