Question: How do i take guitar playing a step further? Posted: 21 Sep 2014 09:02 PM PDT How do i take guitar playing a step further? Hi! Ive been playing guitar for 6 year im 14 and i am in a band. as the question suggests i want to take my guitar playing a step further. I know i am destined to be in a popular band but in the back of my mind i know its not gonna happen without hard work. I practice as much as i can and im not a shitty guitar player...im actually a very good guitar player. I just cant seem to think of any creative riffs or even find my own style in a sense. Can someone please help me achieve my dream!
Question: How can I get my voice to sound husky? Posted: 21 Sep 2014 08:33 PM PDT How can I get my voice to sound husky? I'm in a play called "The 39 Steps" and my character is Annabella Schmidt. She is extremely sexual and at one point it says that her voice should be husky, and she's talking to a man and she's in a very short nightgown, and basically he thinks that their going to have sex. So even though I'm only saying his name (Richard) it's to the equivalent of talking dirty. I don't know how to achieve this voice. PS I'm in high school, but I'm VERY mature if you know what I'm saying, so don't be afraid to say anything that might help.

Question: How to improve on region music? Posted: 21 Sep 2014 07:47 PM PDT There are so many ways to improve your music! 1. Listen to good recordings of the music.- Getting a feel for how the music goes is important, and you need to know what the music sounds like before you can really learn it 2. practice a TON.- 6 hours is nowhere near enough practicing hours to be good at your region music. I would suggest that by November, you have about 50-100+ hours of practice. you can NEVER be perfect, and all the hours spent after you have learned the music can go towards improving sound and technique. 3. Go slow, then build up speed- If you're unsure of how the music is played, make sure that you take it at a slow tempo (and I mean really slow) to make sure you get all of the notes in. When you have the full song learned at a full tempo, gradually start bumping the tempo up 4-8 BPM per week. 4. Write on your music- Write notes on your music (How to begin and end phrases, note names, cues, etc.) NEVER write in fingering combinations, though. Hope it helped a bit!
Question: What guitar pickups will sound more "Metal"? Posted: 21 Sep 2014 07:40 PM PDT What guitar pickups will sound more "Metal"? I like it Heavy. Im talking Drop B or C sometimes A. Like Slayer. Early Metallica and Some Slipknot. But witch pick up is better for those uses EMG 81 or Seymour Duncan Blackout AHB-1? By the way these pick ups will be going on an Ibanez Iceman IC500 if that helps.
Question: FOR DRAMA KIDS: What do I do about my drama project? Posted: 21 Sep 2014 07:39 PM PDT FOR DRAMA KIDS: What do I do about my drama project? I have a drama project called The Letter. It is an individual assignment where I create a scene just by myself, without being directed. And I am the only one acting in it. It is about a person who is living their life, and then they find a letter, and then they destroy the letter. The scene can be about anything i want it to be about, it just has to have me opening a letter and destroying the letter in it. I have been brainstorming for so long and have no idea what to do! Help please!
