Question: What is infrared photography? Posted: 13 Sep 2014 11:08 AM PDT Infrared is 'light' that is below the visible spectrum. The longest waves that you can see, the lowest frequency of light, is red. Beyond red is infrared. You can feel infrared as heat, but you can't see it. An infrared camera can see infrared. Basically what it does is to translate this invisible light into visible light, so you can 'see' heat. B&W infrared, you could take a picture of a bunch of cars in a parking lot and it would tell you which cars had recently been driven by the heat coming off the engines. They would show up lighter on the film. Pseudocolor would show a range of temperatures, usually from blue (cold) to red (hot). So you could see which part of an engine was hotter or colder. Usually an infrared camera (or infrared film in a conventional camera) will have some sensitivity to visible light, so you can see what you're looking at. So if you took a picture of a boiling teakettle or a wall with a radiator on it, you could see the teakettle or the wall, just the hottest part would glow, or it would be different colors with the hotter parts redder.
Question: What app makes this trippy effect? Posted: 13 Sep 2014 11:05 AM PDT What app makes this trippy effect? I've seen a bunch of these pictures in tumblr and Instagram and I was wondering what app it is. The picture kinda flickers when you scroll and it's pretty cool so I wanted to know how to do that.
Posted: 13 Sep 2014 10:50 AM PDT It doesn't matter. The digital photo processor will make everything balance out to a natural color balance. If it has a purple look to it, it's probably the hardened front element. Apple phones, for example, have a sapphire lens.
Posted: 13 Sep 2014 10:40 AM PDT Unknown. The diameter of a lens has to do with the largest aperture of the lens, not its zoom range. A 4x, 10x and 40x optical zoom will be different diameters depending upon the maker of the lens and the widest aperture. If you meant to say "field diameter" and by that you are asking about the field of view, you will have to take a few steps to figure that out yourself. 1) pick one of the lenses.

Update : This was to symbolize the Great Depression as that's when it was created along with hitler and the nazis were ruling. It is night in the woods, and I think there is either a raven or crow. |
