Question: My dad wants to watch game of thrones with me? Posted: 22 Sep 2014 01:35 PM PDT So I read A Song of Ice and Fire (the game of thrones book series) this year, finishing the fifth book in July. I've watched the show, in secret, and told my parents that I haven't watched it (for obvious reasons). My dad wants to get into Game of Thrones, but he decided he'd rather watch the show than read the books. So, since he believes I haven't watched the show, he suggested watching it together. Since as far as he's concerned, I haven't watched it, I can't be like "no omg that's a terrible idea" since I'll have to explain WHY that's such a horrible idea. So here I am, acting all excited to start watching game of thrones for "the first time", when in reality, I'm dreading what will happen when we get to that "tyrion in the brothel" scene So, what should I do to get out of this mess? Should I just not bring up GOT with him again and hope he forgets? Should I just say "watch it without me"? Or should I just watch it anyway? If the third option, should I be all grossed out like "oh omg the books are not like that at all that's disgusting turn it off" or should I just be like "dad it's no big deal we've both seen boobs before i can handle it" For the record, I'm 17 and a half. But I know my dad to feel a little awkward even when the word "boob" is mentioned on TV when I'm around. TL;DR my dad wants to start watching game of thrones with me and I'm internally freaking out what do I do?
Question: Grave site ideas for music/art lover.? Posted: 22 Sep 2014 10:55 AM PDT Grave site ideas for music/art lover.? A friend of ours recently passed away who was a huge music/art lover. Playing the drums mostly was a huge part of his life. We were going to get a bench for beside his grave, but recently found out they cannot be out there. I need another idea of something great we can do.
Question: Help!!! Need advice on my igcse art exam!!!? Posted: 22 Sep 2014 08:41 AM PDT Without seeing what you have so far, it's difficult to give you specific suggestions. Also, to be honest, you don't even describe the work very well, you just say that it has to do with 'fungi', and that you use acrylics and charcoal. Here are a couple of general suggestions: Keep working on it. You may have to start over, but at least you've learned what doesn't work. I don't know how skilled you are with Photoshop or if that's 'allowed' for your project. But there is a lot that can be done in Photoshop to improve an image. Play around with it. Realize that even green can have a thousand shades. Clouds are not solid white, they are grey and blue and have hundreds of different shades and shapes within shapes. There is a lot of variety you can use with charcoal and related materials. There's white chalk and other shades of colored chalk. Sometimes I would ground up charcoal and mix it with the paint to give the paint a kind of greyed out, smokey look, so there are a lot of things you can do. If a work is fairly small, it can be difficult to work on. so, making it bigger is one way to improve it or to be able to improve it, then you can work on finer details. You might want to contract drab colored fungi with either brighter colored fungi or brighter colored things like flowers. Just some ideas.
