- Question: Needing a special poem. All help appreciated.?
- Question: If you have the power of God for one day, how you gonna spend your day?
- Question: What is the rhyme scheme and meter to the poem Four Preludes on Playthings of the Wind? I do not know how to find meter.?
- Question: Starting with "sort" can you add 1 or 2 letters to form other words that rhyme....and then write a short verse using those rhyming words?

Posted: 08 Sep 2014 12:24 PM PDT I create a "pocket" Universe, accessible from the current one, where time passes infinitely faster. Then I spend eternity as an all-powerful deity -- or at least until I get bored; at which point I freeze time within the pocket Universe and come back out to the real one to take a break for a few hours. Then I open up doorways into the pocket Universe, so that every person in the "real" world can come live there if they want. And it'll be perfect there -- or at least, infinitely better than anything the Christian god ever dreamed of. |
| Posted: 08 Sep 2014 10:09 AM PDT I still think starting a sentence with multiple "and" 's does not add quality to the poem, but he's a professional, so once you're there anything is "choice" stuff. The poem is Free Verse No rhyming. _______________________________________... IV. Playthings of the Wind "The past is a bucket of ashes." 1 THE WOMAN named To-morrow 2 The doors were cedar The doors are twisted on broken hinges. 3 It has happened before. And while the singers sang And there are black crows The only singers now are crows crying, "Caw, caw," 4 The feet of the rats And the wind shifts |
