| Question: How to sing clearer? Posted: 12 Sep 2014 07:15 PM PDT If it gets really quiet its because u aren't giving ur voice enough support. Try singing on an E and slowly ascend the scale note by note or half step. ( not eh but an e ( or i in IPA) and take a deep breath in that makes ur tummy expand. Make sure ur shoulders and chest don't rise as ur doing this because that is improper breathing as far as singing goes and can result in long term voice damage. And after you take this deep breath and ur singing on E, picture ur voice as a laser beam penetrating through the walls. If you feel a little bit of vibration and tickling in ur sinuses by ur nose then you are doing it correctly. Sorry if this is a bit confusing, its hard to explain in text. Good luck!! :) Source(s):I'm a classically trained singer |
| Question: Easy boy-girl broadway duets? Must be G-rated. Like, really G-rated.? Posted: 12 Sep 2014 07:04 PM PDT "Anything you can do, I can do better, I can do anything, better than you. No you can't, yes, I can. No you can't......." I think it is from the musical "Oklahoma!", if I remember correctly. Disney songs: You and me, forever we'll be....you'll always be good company, you and me, and forever we'll be..... From the Disney movie, "Oliver!" "In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight....aweem awock, aweem away..... I am 16, going on 17, I need someone older and wiser... I am 17 going on 18, I'll take care of you.... From "The Sound of Music" |
| Question: Did Joan Rivers' karma catch up with her? Posted: 12 Sep 2014 05:43 PM PDT do you think that thinking in this way means you will never die because you know how to avoid all the traps that make someone "deserve" to die? 'cause... you would be wrong about that. every procedure can be dangerous. especially to an 81 year old. her "decades of rude comments" were jokes. not meant to be taken literally. if it's not your style, of comedy, that's just fine, but that's no reason to be vile. and... if it was karma, it was rather late! as this is older than most people get to be. but its a petty thing for you to say. |
| Question: Should I drop out of school to pursue my music career full time? Posted: 12 Sep 2014 04:16 PM PDT its not exactly that you can't get famous without an education... its that it can be pretty embarrassing if you do... like... if you ended up as a judge on a music competition, and you had never learned what a pentatonic scale was... despite singing them all the time.. and then you got outed for your lack of basic musical knowledge... might not feel good. you would still be famous, but... you might not be respected as much as if you put in the work at the beginning. i know some rather successful musicians who made it big while they were still a bit young, and now they wish they knew more, but its hard to go back and learn it after you are supposed to be a "professional". they might tell you to take the time now, to have a sturdier career later. |
| Posted: 12 Sep 2014 02:36 PM PDT Alto Saxophone would be best.. as you get better and more dedicated, you can venture out to try Baritone and Tenor. Make sure you put in the time to practice! Source(s):Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, and Oboe Player |
| Question: Needing a monologue? Posted: 12 Sep 2014 02:06 PM PDT
In my Speech & Drama class, we're doing a monologue. We've been told that we need to peel back a layer of our onion and show our emotions. I need a specific monologue about wanting to be needed by somebody. It can be any length that is under 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Thank you!! |
