why guitarist pay much attention to their guitar pedals?

i have no idea why my brother care a lot of his guitar pedals,does it play more important than others guitar accessories?why?

The production is 'Haunted Honeymoon' and I want to audition for either Cleo Kipperton, Ida Rubin, or Charlotte Dopp.

Cleo: The tour director for Worldwide Tour, Inc. thirty to fifty years of age. She is extremely efficient, factual, sweetly commanding, and takes over cometely most of the time. She is English but her accent is not noticeable.

Ida: Irving's wife about forty or fifty. A very sweet, warm Jewish woman who has a rare talent; she has been able to stay married to Irving for ten years.

Charlotte: A voice teacher in her thirties or forties. Slim, good facial features, but plain looking because of of her rather severe hair style and lack of makeup.

I'm having trouble finding a monologue that would suit any of them. Actually I'm jut having trouble finding a good monologue. If anyone knows of any good dramatic (and possibly comedic) monologues I'd very much appreciate it if you let me know! Thanks!

You shouldn't put too much pressure on your toes anyway, they're already under a lot of stress from having to figure out which piggy is going to go weee wee wee all the way home...
