Well - are you an actor?
Have you trained for years and had loads of stage experience?
No-one would bother to audition anyone with no training or experience.

Almost all voice-work goes to fully-trained and very experienced actors - they do the occasional bit of voice-acting just to earn a little extra money in between ordinary acting roles.

I mean - think about it. You have a role to fill in a cartoon or commercial or whatever - who do you choose to audition - a kid with no experience or a professional actor with a fantastic résumé showing years at drama school and loads of stage and film experience?

Of all the characters, they are listed here in order of how many lines they have:

Abby and Martha have the most lines, followed by Mortimer. Jonathan, Doctor Einstein and O'Hara, then Elaine, Brophy, Klein, Rooney and Teddy (Teddy is onstage a fair bit but doesn't say much). Witherspoon, Gibbs and Dr Harper have the fewest lines.

audition song for company (Sondheim)?

I'm 15 years old and a mezzo/soprano. I'm auditioning for the musical Company by Stephen Sondheim. It's a comedy. We're supposed to prepare an audition song that fits the genre, preferably from a musical. I was thinking the "Joy of Motherhood" from Honk! Is that unprofessional? I sing it very well but I don't want to look stupid. if so, please suggest other songs! thanks:)

- Corny sings in a few songs, including 'Hairspray', 'Nicest Kids In Town' (and its reprise), he has a little bit of stage time when he's singing, and when Little Inez wins Miss Teenage Hairspray at the end. He's not on a great deal other than that really, unless your production would include you in some dances etc.
