Question: What does this mean "I saw a dead bird flying through a broken sky"?

I think it means, maybe, the symbolised end of the world. A dead bird would be the death of all living things, and a broken sky could mean a shattered planet. This is just a guess, so don't hold me to it.

Question: Thoughts on my poem?:?

Keep it. I like it. You've got a good imagination! :D

I think the only thing I would say that in some places it feels more concerned with rhyming than with its weird story.

Question: Can you critique my poem?

your skin is velvet
kneaded with the palms of angels.
within you, i feel warmth.
your body is a synagogue
open for dwellers on christmas.

if you were never right,
you could never do wrong.
and when you sing songs,
you portray a wave that penetrates my being.

and if i ever looked out to see
the vastness of who you are,
i'm afraid i'd be lost at first sight.
i feel i might die
if you ever left,
if you ever crept out the door.
and what you mean to me
transcends time,
transcends the line,
between black and white.

you are always here.
you live in my fears,
that maintain the illusions.
